Five reasons to Attend ISB2017

If you haven’t registered yet and need even more incentive to do so here are the top five reasons why you should attend. If you are one of the 1000+ delegates, who have already registered here is the return on investment, time, money and effort.

1. Comprehensive Scientific Program

The ISB2017 Scientific Program Committee have put together a strong and diverse program with a balance of tutorial, keynotes, orals and poster presentations. We are aiming to have the final program online and available with the next email communication.

For the latest program updates check out the ISB2017 website.

2. Ideal Location

For many, the trip to Australia will be the very first time to the island continent. We welcome attendees from 50 countries currently registered and offer a plethora of activities that you can enjoy in your free time. Brisbane in the middle of winter is still a balmy average of 20 degrees Celsius or 68 Fahrenheit. You will be able to spot the locals who tend to rug up as soon as the temperatures drop into the teens!

3. Networking

This is one of the most popular reasons people cite for attending a conference. Who doesn't like the opportunity to get to know and meet new people who work in the same field? There's an incredible amount of sharing, learning and leveraging that can happen. To support your networking efforts and connect you with your fellow delegates, we have included a private delegate networking platform within the Congress app where you can locate and send a message to your colleagues during the Congress. Make sure you download the Congress app before leaving home.

4. Get Inspired and Learn

Hearing what Congress speakers have done, sharing their research, challenges and successes can motivate you to take their lead and follow their example. It could be that they inspire you to add something new to your own discipline or change the way you do things. Maybe just one idea could change your future. Whatever it is, meeting others who have been or are successful in your area of expertise should inspire and motivate you to reach the same level of success.

5. Impressive Exhibition Hall

A vital part of your ISB2017 experience can be found in the ISB2017 Exhibition which will feature 45+ exhibiting companies and organisations — one of the largest gatherings of innovative biomechanical products and services shown under one roof. Don’t miss this opportunity to see and hear about the latest, cutting-edge products and services available to your industry.

Other amenities and entertainment in the exhibition will enhance your experience when you’re taking a break from the scientific sessions. They include the Welcome Function on Sunday evening, the poster sessions, all catering breaks during the week and much more.
