As the largest living structure on the planet, the Great Barrier Reef is 2300 kilometres, this natural icon is so large it can even be seen from outer space and is easily accessible from Brisbane.

You may chose to extend your time in Australia and take advantage of the vast range of experience from the North Queensland Coastline, to the southern beaches of the Gold Coast or across to wine country in Adelaide, iconic Sydney and her beautiful harbour or perhaps the Outback is your lifelong dream?

Australia’s stable political system, well-maintained roads, low crime rate and high standard of health care make it a safe and relatively easy country to explore.

In return for your time and travel we promise to you is to produce an inspiring and innovative program showcasing keynote speakers from across the globe, lectures and awards together with over 500 specialised oral sessions and posters to be delivered. The scientific program is complemented with the Congress social functions to facilitate your networking needs.

Join over 1,000 of your profession’s greatest advocates, committed professionals and citizens who will contribute to the strengthening of the global biomechanics industry. Now is your chance to register and become part of the ISB2017 community.

A Taste of Queensland

Australia's unspoilt landscapes produce an incredibly wide variety of fresh and alluring produce.

There's a freedom and creativity to our food and wine that helps us produce fresh and innovative flavours, including world-class wines, exciting ingredients and ‘fusion' food.

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) home of ISB 2017 has put the spotlight on the intensity of flavours and freshness of local produce delivering visiting delegates and guests a uniquely authentic and invigorated taste of local cuisine at its best.

Voted The World’s Best Convention Centre, BCEC’s menus feature the very best of both Australian and local produce.

At ISB 2017 you will enjoy the Worlds number Convention Centre and world class delegate catering to keep you Nourished and Fill up on Life, including your special dietary needs.

Executive Chef, Martin Latter is a strong advocate for locally grown produce and its benefits. “For our many international and interstate visitors it is important that we savour the seasons and offer a truly Queensland culinary experience.”

The Nourish Mentality Menu focuses entirely on healthy eating. This boutique menu was inspired by the Australian netball champions, the Queensland Firebirds. In developing the niche menu, Executive Chef Martin Latter collaborated with Firebirds Nutritionist, Kerry Leech who will continue to work with the Centre advising on menu development and the issue of special dietary requests which now make up 20% to 30% of all meals prepared at the Centre.

Special Dietary Kitchen

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) has established a dedicated Special Dietary Kitchen in a bid to streamline the special dietary needs of delegates, improve the product offering and enhance the dining experience for ISB 2017 delegates.

The strategy around catering for the increasing demand for special dietaries includes new on-line ordering - also believed to be a first for Australian convention centres.

The new Fill up on Life Menus cater to special dietaries in that 75% of the entrees and mains have been deliberately structured to be Gluten Free to address increased demand.
